Passionate about being an instrument of the Holy Spirit.

Meet Muriel

Muriel is originally from Côte d’Ivoire, in West Africa.

She studied theology at Heythrop College, University of London, where she obtained a BA (Hons) in Theology and a Master’s in Canon Law.

Muriel has spent over twenty years accompanying people in matters of faith, conscience, personal formation, relationships and economic life.

Her work has been intentionally rooted in parish life, where the People of God gather and bring the ordinary realities of faith, family, work, struggle, responsibility and service before God. She currently works at a church, teaching about God and the Catholic faith, and supporting the faith formation of people of different ages, cultures, social backgrounds, Christian denominations, other religions, or none.

Through years of walking alongside people who long, pray and hope for justice, peace, healing and real change in their life circumstances, she has seen that longing alone will not bring about change. Many of life's daily struggles cannot be resolved by prayer alone. They also require people of good will — and, from her perspective, women of faith in particular — to take responsibility for the world around them and act: to build, heal, teach, lead, create and serve, guided by the Holy Spirit.

MA.com is a space for women who want to understand their lay apostolate, ask serious questions, and recognise how God may be calling them to serve Him through the ordinary realities of life.
